Dear Mom and Dad,

Merry Christmas! Every year we are faced with the dilemma of wanting to give you a gift that adequately shows how much we love and appreciate you. But since we can't even find the words to describe this, we had to get creative--we're giving you your very own Blog! You may question, "Hey, aren't blogs free to anyone who wants one?" Yes, indeed they are. But let's say Dad was going to make a blog and it took him, say, 7 hours to make it (we don't even want to estimate how long it would take Mom...) Well, that would equate to approximately $1,000,000 of opportunity cost. So all in all, I'd say it's the best present possibly imaginable ***

We envision this blog being a common ground for all that is going on in our family. With changes coming up this coming year, and with only Michael holding down the fort in Salt Lake, we wanted to have a way for all of us to see what's going on at home. Pictures from Michael's basketball games, recaps on family parties, reports on Mom's trips, embarrassing stories/run-in's with the law (DAD), are ALL welcome and will be eagerly anticipated. Other fun ideas include recipes, family polls, birthday wishes, and discussion groups on upcoming family events. Also, we figure this would be an excellent way to keep tabs on our favorite Elder serving in Argentina. The possibilities are endless!

Mom and Dad, our love for you is truly beyond description, and you've influenced us far more than you'll ever know. We will cherish our sweet memories of time spent together for as long as we live.
